Perk's Steal and Assist - Good Stuff!!!

I love Perk. I love what he brings to the game: toughness, screens, box outs and a lot of things that you don't usually see in the box score. Red Auerbach once said that a team should get all the instigators it can find and Perk's one of the best. But here's a couple of Perk's moves that will show up in the box score. A steal and a beautiful assist to Russell Westbrook.

Comments from the Other Side - Blazers 4/12

Poor Blazers fans are stuck in that terrible spot where they aren't good enough to make the playoffs but aren't bad enough to get a top pick.  The Celtics were there for a long time so I know how frustrating it is.  As always, my favorites are in bold.  What are yours?

There's a chance we win this game, but then again there's also a 'chance' I'll get struck by lightning while I'm sitting on the toilet. Of course there's always a chance OKC starts resting guys.

Much as I hate the Thunder and would like to beat them, I will take comfort from the fact that a loss will help to set up a Lakers-OKC first round matchup, meaning that one of my two most hated franchises has to be eliminated in the first round.

Somehow I missed this news earlier: Hasheem Thabeet is starting.

BTW that feels a little insulting. “We’re so sure we’re winning this game that we’re starting The Beat tonight.”

Hopefully Durant won't make any "menacing gestures" tonight....

Warriors fans seem like a good bunch.  There were a few complaints about the refs but also some realistic fans who set them straight. The comment about the commercial where the kid picks the Hawks and Wolves to play cracked me up because I think the same thing every time I see it.    Some of my favorites are  in bold.  What are yours?

Jazz fans don't seem like a bad bunch.   They did complain some about the officials but felt that the officiating was more for the Lakers than the Thunder.   Some fun comments and I've put some of my favorites in bold.  What are yours?

Comments from the Other Side - Knicks 4/7

The Knicks fans, like the Spurs fans, started whining about the officials before the game even started and never stopped.  Lots of Durant hate from Knicks fans too.  I've noticed that when a team has a star PG they hate on the other team's PG.  When they have a star forward, they hate on the other team's forward.  Like knocking the other player down will make their player better.   I really dislike the Knicks and their fans.  The Thunder are lucky to only have to play them twice.  Some of my favorites are in bold.  What are yours?  Enjoy...

I actually like our chances for this game. KD is going to drop 30 regardless of who we put on him, just need to hope Westbrook has another Knucklehead game and Kevin Martin continues to struggle.

Who does OKC have that can cover Melo down the stretch? He is too strong for KD, but maybe his length would bother Melo a little. Doubt it though. Ibaka has the ability, but I think Melo would find a way to dupe him into a lot of fouls.

Pacers fans aren't such a bad bunch.  No wishing for players to die or get hurt.  It's a breath of fresh air after the Spurs fans.  And there were some complaints about the refs,  but since it was Joey Crawford,  I can understand that,  but they didn't blame the loss on the refs like most fans do.  My favorites are in bold, what are yours?

Comments from the Other Side - Spurs 4/4

I honestly was thinking while watching the game that there's no way they can complain about the officiating in this one.  The refs pretty much let them play both ways and the Spurs shot 4 more free throws than the Thunder and only 30 free throws were shot total. And KD took FOUR free throws but yet he goes to the line every time someone breathes on him.    But reading through the boards you would have thought that the Thunder took 50 free throws to 10 for the Spurs.  Most of these guys are completely delusiounal.  They started complaining about the officials before the game started and never stopped.   I'll never understand wishing injury on someone.  That's pretty warped, as is any mention of McVeigh.   Loved how they all went ballistic over Fisher though.  A few of my favorites are in bold.  I always enjoy seeing which ones you like best.

The only thing Fisher really brings to the table is “veteran leadership”, which I think is Mayan for “terrible defense and missing 21 shots in a row.”

So, which number will be greater: A) The number of absurd, ill-advised, frustrating, nobody-should-make-more-than-one-of-these -in-a-lifetime heel-on-the-three-point-line fadaways made by Westbrook, or B) the number of “fouls” drawn by Durant?
